A tribute to all the haters…
by Joe Kalis
- Yes, this is real.
- No, I don’t know who it is (negative people never really like to acknowledge who they are)
- Yes, this does inspire me to continue on my journey!
If you were to read ANYTHING written about success, you’d quickly see that they will quickly acknowledge that when you are doing something great in life, you will almost instantly find out that there are people rooting against you. This a natural part of the journey, and all you can do is smile, and carry on!
But this begs the question; why do people try to knock you down? why are there haters? There are dozens of books and hundreds of bullet points that could describe this in great detail, but for me, it all comes down to one thing:
People who are doing NOTHING meaningful in life instantly look bad when you are… or even worse, when you actually succeed!
There are two ways to build the biggest building in town; either build your own or tear everyone else’s down!
From my own experience, I’ve seen that it’s MUCH easier to tear others down. I used to do it all the time, and it stemmed from a very poor self-image. Once I realized that I had God-given talent and ability inside of me and that I was very valuable to the lives of others (it took about 24 years), I changed my entire life around.
No longer was life about me, it became about others. I found that making others happy and successful actually made me feel better than achieving success for myself. Ironically enough, when you help enough other people succeed, you will inherently receive success yourself!
So, to all the haters… thank you! Your negative thoughts and emotions have no affect on anyone truly striving for greatness (in whichever way you determine!), and only act to inspire us to keep on keeping on! I have no idea how my life will truly affect anyone, but I know as I continue on the journey with a sole purpose to help others achieve their maximum potential, lives will be changed and yet others will disapprove because they are not willing to do what it takes to succeed in life. Best of luck to you, and I’ll be glad to be your friend when you get tired of the act.
To all of you reading… tell me about an experience you’ve had with someone who was trying to tear you down! How did you respond?
