Running Day #4

I can hardly believe it myself, but I’m about to go running for the 4th straight day. I was going to post yesterday, something to the effect of “if you’re supposed to run every day, when does the pain and soreness ever stop??”.

Apparently, it’s day #4. I feel great this morning! The first 2 days, my shins hurt quite a bit. Yesterday, it was the backside of my quads. This morning, there’s virtually no pain or soreness going on. This might also have to do with the fact that I stretched for about a half hour yesterday after running, when I hadn’t done that the first two days. Pretty important, I imagine. Anyways, to keep myself on task, here’s my running log thus far:

Day 1: Run 1 minute, walk 2 minutes (12 minutes total)
Day 2: Run 1 minute, walk 2 minutes (12 minutes total) – MILE 1
            Run 1 minute, walk 1 minute (10 minutes total) – MILE 2
Day 3: Run 2 minutes, walk 1 minute (10 minutes total)
Day 4: 1.2 miles total to Aldi and back…followed by another 1.1 miles around the neighborhood.
